Life is a collection of stories that deserve to be heard. I am a Licensed and Nationally Certified Professional Counselor and my role is to help individuals find their voice in order to fight against shame through empowerment and self-exploration. I believe counseling is a safe and confidential place to begin healing. I specialize in working with adults, teens and adolescents who struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, and life transitions. I work from an integrated approach that addresses the mind, body, and spirit.
In my training of Effective Trauma Care, I recognize that other holistic interventions may be needed in coordination with talk therapy. Dance or mindful movement are ways, if needed, clients can learn to express their feelings if they don’t have the words. Other common interventions that I practice are CBT, mindfulness, and trauma informed care. I am also trained in EMDR trauma therapy which is a specialty therapy where one is completely conscious and in charge and is able through the strength of the mind to desensitize and reprocess memories that affect us in the present. www.emdria.org
I accept Anthem insurance in network, out of network insurance plans that will sometimes reimburse, and self pay at a rate of $110 per session. I have openings for appointments during the day and evening hours. Please call or email me for more information . It would be my honor to join you on this journey. I look forward to hearing from you.

Every family is unique and comes with its own set of challenges. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in pre-/marital counseling, relationship issues, divorce, co-parenting issues, family conflict, life transitions, blended family issues, communication issues, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and more. As your partner and team member, I will support and assist in your healing process while providing a safe, judgment-free space.

I am trained in Family Systems therapy, which specifically treats the family as one unit, acknowledging that all individuals’ actions affect each other collectively. As individuals and as families, we are part of more, much larger systems. I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Experiential Therapy.

My goal is to help the family reach a place of relationship well-being and fulfillment and encourage growth. I believe that in order to heal the family, it is important for everyone to treat their mental and physical selves. To provide the most optimum level of care, I frequently collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, nutritionists, and educators.

Is your child or teen struggling with excessive worry?  Have you noticed them seeming more withdrawn, angry, or upset and having difficulty managing their emotions?  Have they gone through or are currently going through a difficult transition/challenge in life and having trouble adjusting?  Seeing your child or teen struggle can leave you feeling helpless. Seeking help from a therapist may be the best choice to help your child or teen work towards meaningful change, create a better life balance, and facilitate inner peace.

Therapy can be scary for kids and teens, and I do my best to create a safe, non-judgmental, and warm environment, where they can freely express themselves and explore their struggles, as we work towards their goals. I help my clients find effective ways to understand and cope with intense emotions as well as replace maladaptive thought patterns in order to promote positive healing.

I am a nationally certified counselor, a certified trauma professional, as well as am becoming a Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. I currently work with ages 10+ based on presenting concerns. My experience includes working with children and adolescents struggling with an array of issues such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation/self harm, anger, and self esteem.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor who specializes in children, teens and adults who deal with an array of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, phase of life issues, self-esteem, life transitions, peer issues, anger, self-harm and grief to name a few. I believe that therapy should be a safe and collaborative space where the client has an active role in deciding where the treatment goes.

I graduated from Maryville University with my Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling. In general, I use a combination of therapeutic modalities including: person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy and motivational interviewing.

Additionally, I am trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which is an evidence-based trauma therapy designed for individuals aged 3-18 who have emotional and/or behavior trauma symptoms that impacts their day-to-day life. TF-CBT involves the participation of a designated caregiver to assist them with learning about trauma, practicing relaxation techniques outside of therapy and understanding cognitive coping skills with the ultimate goal of, eventually, sharing the trauma with said caregiver.

I have openings for appointments during the day and some availability in the evenings. I take United Healthcare in-network and all other insurance companies are out of network and available to out of network reimbursement. My out of pocket rate per session is $130.

Please call or email me for more information. I look forward to assisting you with accomplishing your goals!
